We purchased our engagement ring and our wedding bands at Mervis diamonds and we had a fantastic experience. Our salesperson was Fazken Krikorian and he was excellent! He was very knowledgeable, did not pressure us and didn't even try to sell us the most expensive rings. He was very patient with our questions and responded to emails promptly - even off hours. I was dreading shopping for rings and Fazken made it enjoyable.
I spent a great deal of time looking for the right diamond and found it at Mervis. More importantly, it was also a terrific experience working with Rahul as we built a custom setting. Rahul was kind and great to us throughout. I highly recommend both Mervis and Rahul who has been with them for many years. I wish I looked local first as it would have saved me a lot of time and money as we went back and forth to NYC and Philly. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Mervis to buy an engagement ring. I was referred to Fazken through a friend. He was outstanding throughout the process and was never pressured to do anything. I knew he was always getting me the best price available (prices that rivaled Blue Nile) with the best quality. Let me preface my review and say I did not purchase anything it is for service only. I hear a lot of ad's about Mervis on AM 980 so I stopped in. ( The radio ad's do work) I went in thinking I would be explained everything about getting a engagement ring but i wasn't. I walked in and representative came out to help and I told him what I was looking for and I am starting from square one. I know nothing about diamonds, what to look for or what is popular. Disappointing customer service. This location will be attentive if it's a new sale, but if you need anything else related to resizing, maintaining, etc their customer service is lacking. We have made a lot of purchases through Mervis including earrings, bracelets, wedding and engagement bands. The quality of the jewelry is fantastic, however their customer service is surprisingly lacking and sloppy. My wife and I bought our wedding bands at Mervis and couldn't be happier. The customer service is top notch and the quality of the jewelry is excellent. They answer all your questions and do their best to help you come to a selection. On top of that, when my original band was too big, they sent it back and did gave me a new band, engraved and all. Excellent service. We will definitely come back for future purchases.
We had a wonderful experience here, which put our visits to all other non-Mervis companies to shame. We visited about five other large diamond companies nearby. Dion was very patient with us and thorough with his explanations of the diamonds and their tradeoffs. I did not have a good experience with Mervis. I bought a diamond with them to bring home and was going to evaluate it further before bringing it back to have it set in a setting that we liked at Mervis. Once I got home, I noticed it had more color than I was looking for (the incandescent lights really soaked the stone). I bought another diamond from another retailer with no color and went to return the original diamond to Mervis.
