Do I even have to give this one star? The printer is basically garbage. After less than 45 days, three ink cartridges, and printing about 40 sheets of paper it no longer works. The only way to print a sheet is to move to "highest quality", spend 5 minutes on a single sheet on word, and destroy the printer and ink in 7 more days. You are better off handwriting something you see on the screen than buying this printer.
Not Mac compatible This printer is *not* Mac compatible; don’t be fooled. Even after hours of troubleshooting with support, I have to delete and then set up the printer if it has been more than an hour or so since I last printed. And then there is still a ~5 minute delay during which I hold my breath and hope it works. The hardware is fine - the software is not compatible. Mac users, you’re better off looking elsewhere.
Rip off The printer worked just fine for a while, but then there was a software update that made it so that it was unable to read anything but "genuine" Brother ink, so the full ink cartridges I had in there previously are now useless. I ordered one of their "genuine" ink cartridges (which was, of course, more expensive) and I heard nothing for 20 days. Absolute garbage worst printer ever owned..show paper jam ..NO PAPER JAM...will not print..only thing this printer is good for is if you need to bury something
not reliable failed twice. done with this printer. purchased for home use january 2020. within 30 days printer would not fax. returned for replacement. second printer worked well until mid july 2020. it only prints in black. amazon helped with the return and refund. the print quality was very good when it worked. did not contact tech support, worked with amazon instead.
Garbage. Don’t waste your money. Piece of crap and it has already died.. not even a year old
wont buy again would not print not one letter..by the time i got a different one too late to print out return info...tech people said no good...so i have.......cant rate something cant use !!!!!!!! 2 brother printers that are no good and both are next to brand new...bbad way to do business i think. cant rate something that wont work !!!!!!!!
Junk Printer...Ghost Paper Jam 13 months and it decides to tell us it has a ghost paper jam. My wife hated this from the beginning: won’t handle thicker paper, jams all the time, prints/wastes a piece of paper telling you how much ink you have at random times. Now, it stopped working. Says to clear a non-existent jam! There is no jam! Factory reset is a farce. Does nothing. Powered off, pulled plug out, paper tray, squeezed the two green levers, etc....and nothing!
