Very problematic printer Have had this printer for nearly 6 months now. Facing a lot of problems * Connecting over the network is quite unreliable. Total ripoff DO NOT BUY THIS! DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER! I bought this printer to replace an HP printer I had for nearly 10 years. HUGE MISTAKE! When one cartridge is out, nothing will print. If yellow is out, black won't print. It just won't do anything until you replace the empty cartridge. This is a huge problem when you're in a rush to get something printed late at night and your kids are sleeping and you can't just run to the store to get ink. It's also a major ripoff. Junk Printer did no even last a year
Not worth it. This printer sucks and it’s only a few months old. I don’t get the amount of pages I’m supposed to from the ink cartridges and it constantly needs resetting. The touch screen is the only plus. I really regret buying another Brother printer...I won’t make that mistake again!
Never buy this printer unless you like spending money I've owned this printer for about a year, and it worked fine until it didn't. After about 100 pages the yellow color ran out it refused to print anything (even though there was some ink left), even in black and white, which is frustrating when you want to print up your time sheet at the end of the month. I am unable to print the black & white even I choose the Black and White option When you try only Black & White printout this printer won't work. All the Ink Cartridges should be available to print even a Black & White. My Black & White Ink is available but the Yellow Ink Cartridge got over, I am trying to print a black & white print out this printer is not supporting. I did a lot of reaches, change the option to print only Black & White still not working. this printer is also slow in performance.
Broken within 1 month This printer barely prints. I just purchased a bunch of new brother ink and am out the $ on the ink. Now, I have to purchase another printer. It is so SLOW. Almost like it has clogged heads but I just cleaned it through the settings and it has not helped at all. DO NOT BUY!
Runs your ink dry even when not in use This printer was performing well until I noticed it ran out of color ink. The issue is, I've NEVER used the color ink before. Ever. And now that the color ink is out, it won't even let me print in black and white, which makes zero sense to me. I would not purchase this brand again.
Don't buy it for the scanner! I'm ok with this printer ... light duty, utility printing. I'm not impressed with it's quality but it's cheap as far as printers go. But i just realized how horrible the scanner is; heavy compression even on PNG setting, solarization even from continuous tone prints, i just can't explain how the scanner can be so poor in today's technology environment.
