Get ready to empty your wallet Good printer, but becomes very expensive with time. They charge you so much for an ink cartridge that over time this machine is becomes very expensive. You cannot use third party ink cartridges thanks to their chips they have added to each individual cartridge. If you use third party cartridges, you cannot update the machine. It is all a SCAM and now i have a useless printer.

Don't - just don't I'll start this by stating, "I don't like to give negative reviews". I don't. I'll usually forgive/forget and move-on. But if this printer is any indication of what Brother's printers are like, just steer clear. I've only had this Brother inkjet for maybe six months and I've constantly had to clean the heads before printing (once I had to clean them 6x before it would print two pages). Constant print errors that consume hours of your time I have had this printer since April 2020, and I spend half my time dealing an error that says "unable to print 50"> I follow all of the instructions over and over and it usually doesn't clear until I've spent an hour going through the process over and over. There are no paper jams or anything else. There are tons of videos about this error online and so it's clearly a problem.
Cheap price, but didn’t last long Lasted 6 months, with minimal usage
Performance difficulty see controls on front of printer have used brother printers for years but this one not so good ink heads keep drying up and need to clean the heads and cleans over and over to get it working
Failed after 4 months. cannot return Replaced ink--ink showed full but would not print--just sent out ghost sheets
Too many problems I got this printer and it has too many problems. It's falling apart too. I had a Brother before this that lasted 7 years before it died. But Brother apparently has gone down hill, so I'll replace it with something else better. This is a piece of garbage.
Will not let you print if one cartridge is empty POS. Stay Away Read the other negative reviews. Its true this thing is a POS. And ink seems to go so fast you wont even know what happened to it. I maybe printed 20 b & w sheets of text and poof. one of the cartridges is done. Money sucking POS. Steer clear. Instead find a printer that is known to be cartridge refillable and go that route.
