Bad quality prints, constant network problems, utter garbage. I print very little and just needed a basic printer. I'd never had a Brother printer before but the reviews on this one were really good so I thought I give it a try. DO NOT make that mistake! It never made great color prints but it was good enough for my purposes. Then the trouble started. 9 times out of 10 when I try to print the job hangs at "looking for printer". This printer is built to fail. Don't waste your money and valuable time. Instructions were poorly written. After about two hours with tech support in the Caribbean, they told me to buy a new cord ( standard ploy to get rid of you). I finally got it to work after a half day of playing charades with the machine and instructions. I don't even know how I did it. Worst printer ever! I hate this machine with all my being. I had a MFC-J480 and it was the best printer. I used it daily for about 3 years before it finally just stopped working. I tried to buy another, but they were discontinued. This seemed like the next closest thing. I thought for sure I would get the same quality as I did from my other printer. WRONG! Print It is slow when printing from my iphone
Amazon Warranty service I bought this product from Amazon, It was great for a couple of weeks, right after return window, it defeated and didn't print black color anymore. I changed the blank ink, the result was the same. Wrote to warrantyquestions@amazon.com to use the warranty of the device. NO ANSWER at all, I sent a reminder letter two weeks letter. Still No response.
Do not buy brother brand. I don't know why this has such good reviews. The firmware is not good and does not work with windows 95% of the time. I have to unplug it and plug it back it in everytime I want to print something so it restarts it's wifi connection. Have problems with other more expensive models at work also. Do not recommend this brand to anyone.
Need to get to get printer fixed This machine has quit printing anything. Brand new ink 2 days ago. It is only 2 months old . Please tell us what to do
Defective printer This stopped working after a few months and showed a continual paper jam even tough there is none. It's clearly defective.
