Photo printing & scanning are terrible Printing photos is a waste of time. Images are washed-out & unclear. I tried cleaning the ink cartridges a few times, but it did no good. Scanning is a nightmare. It takes a very long time to scan, & then, the scan appears as bad as printed photos on this machine. Wish HP didn't require using HP cartridges. I would definitely go back to an HP printer. I will be returning the Brother printer.
Bad Works half of the time, constantly running out of ink with maybe 20 pages printed. Will not print black and white when one of the color cartridges is out. Even when changing the settings in the computer to only print black and white, still does not print. You have to spend $200 in cartridges every month to print 10 pages of black and white. Just replaced the yellow ink, printed 1 page in black and white and yellow already shows 25% gone. How? Everything about this printer screams: WE HATE YOU: THE CONSUMER.
do not buy I purchased this item at the end of January and it was already broken at the end of March. It was a waste of my money.
This device will not stay connected on your WiFi! The tech support documentation is not great, and I purchased this before realizing how many people are having the same problem. I spend 10-min minimum each time I need to print, trying to restart prints, reload drivers, etc. For the record, I use Windows 10 Enterprise. I would not recommend purchasing this device!
Does have USB-b hidden inside Ok...so we have had this printer for 6 months, it replaced our canon pixma that finally died. For 6 months we have thought that this was the slowest printer we have ever had...literally took 2-3 minutes to print a one page word document...the last couple of days we Couldn't get it to recognize our WiFi at all and I thought we were going to have to buy another printer. PRINTER CRASHED ON 1st SOFTWARE UPDATE I am so sorry that I purchased this printer. It was working well right out of the box but the first time I had to install a software update the control screen went black (well a black stripe down it). I turned it off and on again several times but it's still dead. So basically I paid $70 for 5 prints... I could go to the local shop and get prints cheaper. POS printer. Terrible Printer Connects like crap. Can't get it to print half of the time. It's a battle with anything you want to do with it. Says it is offline on my computer and won't connect. But the printer is on and says it is connected to wifi. Literally buy any other printer. This one is not user friendly. You need an experienced person to figure this stupid thing out. Not a happy customer.
Junk It doesn't recognize ink cartridges. It refuses to print and tells YOU when to change the cartridge (even though it's half full). I just changed all new cartridges and it says it's completely out of ink. Useless and out of return window. I bought it November 2019 and it is now March 2020. Paid $115 for a printer to last 4 months.
Keep shopping - waste of money. Do yourself a favor and skip this printer. Constant problems getting it to print. The problem has gotten progressively worse too. Had it 4 months and while at first it seemed fine, soon it would tell me ink was too low to print while registering 1/3 full and in order to get around that I would have to run the troubleshooter - for every document I wanted to print.
