Where does the ink go? We have had this printer for about a week. The first Black ink cartridge ran out within 30 pages before we got the low ink message. We changed it with a brother cartridge and it still has the low ink message. I ran through all the trouble shooting steps even some of the more unconventional ones but nothing can fix it. If the printer gets the out of ink message it will lock up and not do anything. Has never worked right Bought this in June for my business and it has been nothing but headaches. It keeps saying we are out of ink, even when we just replaced the ink the day before. We get constant error messages. It's just a big mess and I'm on Amazon looking for a new printer now. Any suggestions people?
Worst printer I’ve owned. Ink door doesn’t close properly. Won’t accept replacement cartridges which makes ink cost more expensive. Very unhappy with this printer. I bought it in June, 3 months later, I’m shopping for another one. It won’t be a Brother product next time.
Ink Cartridge Malfunction The first day using this printer. I received the error message that the ink could not be detected. This disables all printing even if its just one cartridge that cannot be read. The printing is pretty good, but did not work after a few pages.
DOA unable to test anything. Printer was DOA. The yellow ink port would read empty regardless how many cartridges were tried, brand new Un-opened ink showed empty as well.
Not good Broke after 5 time use
Not good for printing photo cards or card stock printing paper. I wanted to use this printer for school. It print on regular paper adequately with minimal smudging but a little pixelated. When I tried to print some photo cards on my printer with thick card stock printing paper, I kept getting paper jams despite fixing the settings. I was on hold for over 2 hours with a representative who kept telling me to remove the paper as if I didn’t know there already was paper jam. Terrible Ink Management This line of Brother printers includes little windows on the cartridges that allow the printer to determine the amount of ink left. However this simply amplifies the frustration of knowing that there is PLENTY of ink when the printer stubbornly refuses to print due to a lack of some color. I had made a couple of color prints weeks ago, and the ink levels went down a tad; nothing unusual had transpired. Poor photo quality The photo's look like you are looking through fog. Very Disappointed with the printer. the touchscreen does not react until you "touch" very firmly and several times.
