The print quality is pretty decent, its fast and when using the "Best" selection for print quality for documents and important papers where good readable is a must, this delivers. Dont walk away, run. Worked great for about 6 months, unless you count several false paper jam warnings, then one day, it just quit. it would power up, go through its boot screen, then it went black. product support said a bunch of things like remove the paper tray, unplug it, then plug in while holding the power button. it continued to start up and die, until now, it won't even power up now. It came with a large supply of ink, but I haven't even changed the black cartridge yet. hoping the warranty is still good. Come to fin... read more
Brother support is Terrible Printer works well when it works, but suddenly lost connection with my Macbook Air and printer would not respond. Reconnected with our Wifi and still no luck. Tried to call Brother support and was put on hold for over 1/2 hour and no answer. They kept repeating a recording to use the Chat on their website, but no Chat option existed. Brother support just sucks! I won't be buying another Brother printer again
Stops working after a year I loved this printer - it was easy to use and fast. Unfortunately exactly 1 year after purchasing it, it has completely stopped working.
Bad, Wasteful Design I find (and the Brother online chat staff just confirmed) that this printer does not work unless *all* of the color packs are working. I print almost exclusively in black-and-white, but cannot do so because the Yellow is not working. This is a new printer, bought earlier this year, and all the ink packs are still new too. Will not print if one of the ink cartridges runs out This printer is okay at best. I've had it for a year now and the ADF died within the first few months, but cool, I don't use it enough to miss it. The clencher is when I ran out of cyan and couldn't even print black and white with a full black cartridge. Frustrating. It stopped working in less than 90 days This thing is a piece of junk or I got a lemon and now I don't know who to turn to in order to get help. It no longer prints and it's hit or miss on it's attitude as to whether or not it wants to scan through the usb cable to my computer. I came to amazon to return or get support and there is none available.
boat anchor Worked great 5 months, then suddenly stopped connecting to our network. We tried troubleshooting the network, restart, update drivers, etc. Then tried direct connect - and nothing happens. So it will print anything as long as it's being copied. But if we're looking to PRINT something from the internet/computer directly or via network, colossal fail. We're out $144 and only used it maybe 3 dozen times.
