I got about 2 weeks of work from this piece of crap. I would never purchase anather Brother product. I worked for a few weeks. Replaced ink several times and it still showed black ink empty. I finally called Brother, we went thru the purge. When that didn't work they told me I'd have to pay to fix it. Horrible service.
Great if you don’t want to print anything often This printer says that it is offline or doesn’t print more than it has ever printed. Tech support expects me to unplug my router and printer everytime I want to print anything. Do not recommend.
Ink doesn't last You're supposed to get I think 1200 pages of color from the cartridges. I got maybe 5 pages before every single color suddenly said it was out at the same time. Frustrating.
Great printer and worked until the past 4 months We've had the printer 2017. It worked very well but lately it will not work. The first time is stopped I called Brother customer service. After a lot of following the directions of the customer service rep, we were able to get it working. I believe when he reinstalled the drivers, it started working for a few months. terrible printer -- so many problems We've had many printers over the years and this one is the worst to date. It is unreliable, non-intuitive menu, paper always jams, and ink runs out quickly. I do not recommend anyone buy this printer.
If you run out of one ink color it won't print AT ALL I loved this printer until I ran out of blue ink and it wouldn't print... at all. Not even black only. I have never known of a printer to work this way. I like I can print, scan, fax. I like that I can print from my phone. I like that it can order ink if it needs to but it didn't order in time. Most Confusing Printer Over the years I have worked with two brother printers and neither of them can just work perfectly and they way I want them to work in the last two weeks I had problems with both of the brother printers. The first one would not scan because it said it needed to be on the same wifi and get this they were. Buy it with a big bottle of Advil I bought this printer for occasional small business use, because I previously had a Brother printer that I loved. This one is flimsy and is full of annoying quirks. So far, I've been unable to make it collate or to print in anything except reverse order. So each print job means I'm laying multiple pages out on the floor to put them in the right order. More features than I wanted or needed. Good for black. Color printing close but not quiet as vibrant as the HP 952C Deskjet it replaced. I have no need to use the scanning or copying. I also have no use for the WiFi capability The software function insists on displaying itself on the monitor rather than in the tool tray.
