This is a bright and compassionate provider who has absolutely the best bedside manner.
I got a full explanation of my hip issues and came away with a plan of care that I finally feel positive about.
I have had quite a few orthopedic problems in my lifetime, and have seen surgeons in several different practices. Without a doubt, Dr. Merz, and his support staff at EmergeOrtho are the best. They are best at office efficiency, personal assistance, office cleanliness and preparation for visits, and everything else that goes into the care and tending of patients. Dr. Merz is very kind & patient. He thoroughly answered my (& my husband's) many questions, & clearly explained the condition of my right hip. I feel I'm in very good hands for the hip replacement I'll be having.I would recommend EmergeOrtho to anyone in need of the care they provide. The check-in was easy, the wait was short, the X-ray Tech was quick and nice, and the Doctor was nice, knowledgeable, and engaging.
Dr Merz was so kind, patient and made me feel comfortable
Dr. Merz operated on me in July, a total hip replacement. He and his staff are very supportive and skilled at what they do. My appointments and surgery at the NC Specialty Hospital were efficient and performed by a caring staff. Dr. Merz answered all my pre op questions, was straightforward in his explanations, listened, sent several summaries to me and overall did an excellent job. I will 100% recommend him.
Dr Merz was very easy to talk to. Was extremely patient with my many questions and note taking! I felt he was very strait forward with my diagnosis. He proposed treatment options, indicated what he thought was best, but did not push me. I felt very comfortable with him. I really do need knee surgery. Dr Merz is my first choice to perform it. Even though I found out I have issues, I left the visit feeling hopeful, thanks to Dr Merz.
He was thoughtful, caring and took his time and answered all of our questions.
