This was a 2nd opinion on a knee issue. Dr. Merz was great - personable, honest, and thorough!
Dr. Merz performed a revision total hip replacement on me one year ago. I am completely satisfied with his care and treatment before, during and after the surgery. I have had several surgeries, all orthopedic, in the past several years from 5 different surgeons. Dr.Merz is the most personable and caring of them all. He is attentive and answers questions thoroughly. You cannot go wrong with choosing him for your care.
Dr. Merz listened to my problems and worked with me to get a solution. Im feeling better already.

Dr Merz did a very successful knee replacement for me in March 2025. I see him now for non surgical management of my other knee. He is knowledgeable, compassionate and skilled. I have referred patients and will continue to do so!
The best feeling for me when I go to the doctor is to feel heard and understood. I felt that. I appreciated that he took the time to listen to what was going on, he examined me, he acknowledged the problem, we discussed it and the options and we worked together.
Dr. Merz is a compassionate doctor. He worked with me for months to determine exactly what type of surgery was needed exhausting all other conservative options. In the end hip replacement was determined to be my best option.
This surgeon is outstanding. He did my knee surgery exquisitely- I have many pre-existing medical issues and he worked expertly through those. He listens carefully; he explains things with honesty and candor. His support team is committed to advocating for the patient and carrying out the doctor’s orders. I’m grateful I have received the referral to this doctor/ surgeon.
This is a bright and compassionate provider who has absolutely the best bedside manner.
