I made an appointment for a second opinion for hip pain. When his nurse took us to the exam room, she told us she already had our records from the other institution. I was amazed by her thoughtfulness. Dr Merz replaced my very bad knee. Although he said it was complicated and had to use a robotic arm it went well.

Dr Merz replaced my husband’s hip a year ago. We were so impressed that I went to him for an arthroscopic procedure. He is very kind and compassionate. I finally have relief from my groin pain!
Dr. Merz went through my current and 9 year old X-Rays in detail and explained that my hip pain wasn't caused by problems with the previous hip replacement but could be solved with therapy (either on my own or with the EmergeOrtho therapists. After 2 surgeries the past 2 months I was unable to exercise which weakened the muscles. I'm working on that now.
