I had a cat with a broken bone in the equivalent of its wrist, right below the joint. After being in splints for twelve weeks, the bone still had not healed and the vet treating her even brought up amputation since she wouldn't put weight on it. A vet tech pulled me aside and suggested I see a surgeon at Mission Med Vet but I was reluctant because I just knew they were going to recommend surgery and it would be expensive. I came in anyway and to my surprise Dr Philip Allen recommended exactly the opposite. He said it may be... read more

My dog was having breathing issues. I decided to take him in. My fear was that it was Sunday and it could be an expensive long day. Molly the vet tech was excellent. Come to find out, my dog was having bad allergies. The cost was nothing what I thought it would be and the service was excellent. I highly recommend if you need a quick response.

We took our 15 year old cockapoo here on Sunday night after he collapsed and couldn't walk. We didn't have an appointment, and given the situation, were pretty concerned and emotional. The service was prompt, the vets and vet techs were caring and kind, the vet specialist gave a detailed explanation of the issues and was patient and thorough. The space was clean and well kept. They were transparent and upfront about costs involved for services and diagnostic testing. We had to leave our dog overnight and weren't sure he'... read more

To my surprise, I was very pleased with my experience. After reading some of the reviews, I was definitely a little skeptical. From the moment I walked through those doors I was greeted with pure kindness. The receptionist (whom I wish I had gotten her name) was very friendly and welcoming. My dog is like my spoiled little child, so nothing worse than bringing your baby to a place you don't feel comfortable at. Once signed in, I was quickly greeted by Molly, (one of the vet techs), who has to be one of the sweetest people al... read more

I have three dogs. Which means I'm at the VCA Mission more often than I would like. Have been impressed with all the vets I have encountered there, the front desk and the friendly technicians who I can tell truly love animals and are vested in taking top-notch care of all the animals in their care. Side note - please vaccinate your puppies. Every time I am in I see a designer puppy dying painfully of parvo come out the other side in a box or see the family refuse expensive treatment (thousands of dollars guys for parvo tre... read more

I was out of town, came home on sunday and my lab mix would not stop vomiting. Took him to blue pearl Sunday and they provided good service but did give me expensive bill, and told me if my lab was still having issues to take him to my regular vet. Monday he was still having issues, took him to long vet clinic and after a few hours they told me my lab was having seizures and i needed to take him to an overnight vet and said i could take him to blue pearl or vca. I brought him to vca and he has having a seizure as i carrie... read more

I can not believe some of the bad, bad reviews i read. I had such a great experience at VCA, and this is not my first go around. i had another soulmate doxie named Kibbles and every time my vet gave him a vaccine he swelled bigger than 2 basketballs and he was the runt of the litter and very small. we rushed him years and year ago at least 10 years or more to VCA and they always saved him in the nick of time and worked with us with price. i wish my doxiie's could live forever but by golly with VCA hospita saved my Kibbl... read more

My local vet sent us there as my dog had high liver enzymes. I don't mind driving 2 1/2 hours for such loving, compassionate people to care for my baby boy. Yes it can be expensive if there is a major surgery involved, but wouldn't you spend whatever you had to on your child? My baby boy is my only child! I'm very happy with the Dr's there and their staff.

Business response:

Anne, we're grateful for having had the opportunity to help you and your precious pet. Thank you for the kind words, as we hope that your fur baby is doing much better. Thanks for sharing.

My coonhound Ellie Mae somehow opened a bottle of Aleve and ate several. Luckily, I caught it quickly and rushed to her the hospital late on a Friday night. Absolutely felt from the initial emergency to the recovery Ellie had the best care and the staff all made me feel like she was receiving the best care. Happy it turned out okay - amazing place to take your animal for an emergency! Thank you Dr Boyle, Dr Wall and all the techs who gave Ellie the best treatment possible and gave her some love too :)

Business response:

Although we're sorry to hear that your Ellie Mae experienced an emergency situation, we're glad that you rushed her here immediately. We're relieved to know that everything turned out okay, and if you ever need anything else, please let our veterinary staff know. Thanks!
