Gym is great, always clean, friendly staff. The Kids Club is absolutely fabulous -- staff is always welcoming, my kids have a great time and beg to go.
I went to Mountainside Fitness as I was visiting from Massachusetts. I was greeted at the front desk and inquired about a day pass. The young man behind the desk was polite and knowledgeable about the day pass process and fees ($10.00). I had to leave my license with the front desk who in turn gave it to their sales rep to hold. A good move for customer safety as would be thieves are identified when they come in. This place is a scam if you're trying to cancel your membership. I called back in Oct 2021 to cancel my membership because I was moving out of state. I was told I would be billed through Nov 2021. No problem.... I was not billed for 3 months and as of Feb 4th, I was billed for Dec, Jan, and Feb! I moved out of state and they do not have a presence where I moved to. They already don't have enough stairmasters and every day there are an average of 2-3 machines that do not work and do not seem to ever get serviced. Very frustrating when they charge a premium fee. Some of their other locations are worth the subscription fee though.
I like the gym and some classes, the childcare is horrible I will not bring my son anymore, we have been members for over three years and it has always been an issue. The childcare staff is rude if my kid gets hurt it's ok but if my child hurts someone he is a bad kid . Not sure I will be keeping my membership there are too many other gyms around.
Instructors go hard at this location providing real workouts and fitness. Mostly their music played is current and fresh.
I signed up for the Queen Creek location and went for my second time today. I am a stay at home mom to a 22 month old & a 10 week old. I was VERY nervous to drop my kids off in a childcare setting. I had a fantastic experience today thanks to the kids club manager Kaylee! Every time I checked on him on the screens/cameras around the gym she had my toddler on her hip and was giving him extra attention he needed as he's getting used to the setting. Before I mention my complaint: the gym itself is great, kids club is amazing and the employees are good too. However, I attempted to cancel my membership because I recently moved and I don't have a mountainside fitness close to me anymore. The sales guy explained to me that I was in a 6 month contract and would have to pay a 25% contract buyout.
