1. great gym!! 2. it was a dark smokey evening.. there i was, reminiscing about my football glory days. when suddenly, right as i was about to watch my old football tapes. a light appeared. i thought it was a sign from God. telling me i should try out for the NFL. but upon the lights arrival.. it was a fucking mountainside van. i was too stunned to speak or move, but i quickly snapped out of it and grabbed a photo.. it was already too late. 3. please wipe down the treadmill after use
I have been a member at gyms all over Phoenix for a long time including Lifetime, The Village, Bally's, and EOS. It's not even close Mountainside provides the most value by a long shot from the awesome equipment to the people that work there who are who are fantastic!
Very good gym, can get a little busy at times, but great community. People are there to help. Will be my primary gym from now on
Excellent equipment, although no pool, but membership only includes access. HIGH PRESSURE to buy a series of expensive personal trainer sessions if you don't already know how to safely operate equipment. The personal trainers are so-so. If your circumstances change and you can't physically come in, credits for training sessions quickly expire if unused and recurring credit card charges are impossible to cancel without physically coming in. Nice amenities including snack bar. Friendly staff. Classes available.
good space, a lot of free weights and clean locker rooms. fixed weight machines could be better but get the job done. plenty of cardio machines of all kinds
Love Mountainside. Been coming here for mor than 10 years. We use the Mkids all the time!
The group fitness classes here are great. Lots of selection and variety of workouts. Smoothies are also top tier
I hate writing a bad review but I was shocked by how dirty this gym was. The floors in the fitness studios were covered in grime, looking like they are never cleaned. Please invest in a professional floor cleaning machine. Hundreds of people per week are using these studios and many of the workouts require us to be on the ground with our hands and faces close to the ground as well. The condition of the studio made for a very uncomfortable and gross feeling workout.
The general manager is incompetent and so is the rest of the staff. Terrible customer service and censors freedom of speech by kicking people out. I've had multiple situations in which we're handled poorly and I've had enough. The general manager is sexist and I will not go back and support this company anymore. I think it's funny that they over charge for gym fees and expect clients to stay after they treat them poorly. They are worse than planet fitness.
