RecommendedOur very loved family member Max, now 9 years old (and a handsome chocolate lab) was diagnosed with cancer in the fall of 2020. Our local vet at North Alabama Animal Hospital referred us to Dr. Vancil and staff at NVS. We could not be any more pleased with the outcome. From the time I got there with my pet I felt reassured by the staff. Dr. Skiles was very kind and reassuring. And Dr. Roach was also very straightforward and professional. We felt Annabelle was in very good and capable hands. They were also very good about letting us know about the financial aspect of the treatment, and kept us informed along the way. It has taken me a few weeks to write this review, but I cannot give enough stars for the staff and Dr. Himeback at NVS. My husband and I moved to Nashville less than a month prior to our visit. We hadn't been able to find a vet here just yet and our little girl Stella needed emergency care for what we thought was a UTI and possible respiratory infection. I couldn’t have had a better experience with Nashville Veterinary Specialists and Animal Emergency. Having a sick pet can be incredibly stressful and the staff at the ER were calm, kind and communicative. Highly recommend.

When a dog has a heart issue of any kind, you want the best care you can get. I felt my 11 yo female PomChi needed that “extra care” to make sure I had her for as many years as I could. Dr. Rodriguez added one additional heart medication to the one she has been on 2 years and she is actually more active! Her heart muscle is pumping blood more efficiently with this new medication and she is a new girl!
