Awful company, they dont tell you that your creditors will send you to collections and eventually try and sue you. Which is what happened to me. I also was with the national debt relief for about a year and had about $5800 in debt and when they heard I was being sued by my creditor they said that I had to have a certain amount of debt to even be qualified in the program, so basically I got out of the program took my money that i was collecting and saving with them and settled the debt on my own with the law firm that was hir... read more

I enrolled to National Debt Relief in order to consolidate and my credit debt. My first credit card was settled from an original balance of 10,449 to a settled amount of $8,766. While they offer to settle your debt for 50% they actually settled mine for 83%. The problem is that they charge a negotiation fee of 25% which in my case was $2,612...so in total i will be paying $11,378. That's right, i will be paying more than I originally owed after paying my settlement + their fee. How is that supposed to save me any money? Natu... read more

I complained to the BBB, and National Debt Relief said they were sorry and would reach out to me to address my concerns, that was three weeks ago. I am cancelling, this thing is a joke.

They are the worst !! They lied to us , promised to settle 50% or less of what we owe .. paying out ?? % . They won’t release the money they’ve had in a savings account back to us .. Don’t do it !

They seemed great until I had to opt out of the program due to having to file bankruptcy. They had started to pay out on one of my debt and kept the over $3,500 I had put in. I will never ever suggest these types of programs to anyone. They are just as bad as the debt collectors and are after your money. STAY AWAY!! They really don't want to help you when you turn to them knowing that you are struggling with money.

This organization, NATIONAL DEBT RELIEF, is extremely deceptive in their communication and predatory in their practices. The "small fee" that they tell you about in the beginning for "negotiating" will end up being 25% of your original debt. This is in addition to their basic charge of $10 per month. This means that unless they successfully negotiate a settlement with the creditor that is substantially less than 50%, you will have saved nothing. I have paid into them, $4608.00 over the past 18 months. What did I get in retur... read more

Didn't save any money on debt except for stopping late payments. I was originally told it would take 2 years to get rid of debt and then they kept adding more time on it and it ended up being 3. They forgot one of my bills even though I asked about it several times. Would have been nice to know with the possibility of a lawsuit.

I signed up in January. Gave about $750. They sent $50 to one creditor. I was told i can cancel at anytime and get my deposits back. I did cancel and they claim the fee totals the amount I’ve given. That’s over 700, it’s not right.
