I have my homeowners with Nationwide and have for 26 years. I have always been prompt with my payment and never filed a claim in those 26 years. I filed a claim on my homeowners for the first time for wind damage from Hurricane Sally and it was the worst experience I have ever had dealing with an insurance company. These people have no compassion for you, they try and make you feel like it was your fault you had damage. Nationwide is definitely not on your side!! Costumer service is 0, on the scale 0-10, and if I can go in the "-" range, I will. I had my windshield replaced 4 months ago and Nationwide is giving the run around and still hasn’t reimbursed me the $1400 I paid up front. Nationwide is definitely not on your side. Don’t go to Safelite! They’re the same company. So beware of them pushing you that direction. Very cheap glass!

Going on over 60 days and just recieved a letter that they need another 30 days to review my claim. What would happen if I sent them 2 letters saying I needed 30 more days to make my payment. They blame it on covid but its complete bad business. This is overwhelming.

We changed insurance to Nationwide supposed to be escrowed. Apparently they never sent the bill to the mortgage company and said it was set up for us to pay. Never got a bill and now they are saying we are cancelled in a letter on a Saturday. Guess what cannot reach anyone on weekend must be Monday through Friday so here we sit with no coverage.

On August 17th 2020 my children and I were tboned by a client of nationwide who ran a red light. The police contacted my witness and the driver received a summons immediately for failure to obey traffic sign. This company will do all it can to not pay out on claims. The appraiser downgraded my hail damage when multiple roofers claimed that there was enough damage for it to be replaced. Then after fighting to repair or replace they send me a letter informing my insurance representative that they would be dropping my home insurance due to a "damaged roof." I then contact the state insurance regulator on NC to file a complaint and they stated that it was the right of the company to drop anyone they desire. SO Stay away, FAR FAR AWAY... read more

We purchased Nationwide pet insurance for our English Bulldog, Sebastian, right when we got him around 10 weeks old. We had heard great things about Nationwide and knew that having an English Bulldog, we definitely should get pet insurance for him.
