Nationwide is a rip off. They are overpriced. I switched to Geico in March and canceled Nationwide. My rates for the same coverage is so much lower. Nationwide sent me a bill after I cancelled. Then they sent me a refund due to covid 19. Now in July I get a bill from a collection agency for coverage before I cancelled. They should pay me since I always paid my bill. I paid the collection agency just to get rid of Nationwide.

Horrible experience. They don't want to pay anything, deny, deny, deny. Using Covid as an excuse, refuse to refund all expenses after making me spend hours filling out pages and pages of paperwork. Apparently only covering anything if you are sick. Liars and cheats. I will never purchase anything from them again. What is the point of having insurance, they are just as bad as my medical insurance. Companies no longer are required to follow through or be accountable for anything anymore. Sad.

Nationwide is the most expensive insurance you can buy. I'm sure Peyton and Brad are well paid. I switched to ***** and now I'm happy. Nationwide did send me a refund due to covid 19 then they still billed me for final charges. 0000A Big Zero!

My mother's employer had their 457 retirement plan with NRS. Since she died I've been trying to rollover that money to an inherited IRA at Vanguard. It's been two months and they keep losing the paperwork! I called them five days ago and was explicitly told they had everything they needed and the transfer would happen in three to four business days. I called today to find out why it hadn't happened and was told they LOST MY PAPERWORK AGAIN!!! I will NEVER take part in anything linked to the name Nationwide again.

Horrible experience with this company during an insurance claim. The claims adjuster and the entire advocacy team are useless. I kept complaining about the claims adjuster and her direct manager, and the advocacy team kept trying to put me in contact with the people I complained about. That entire advocacy group is a joke, not once did I ever get a follow up call from management. I had to chase my own checks down because this entire team is useless and unprofessional.

I purchased a veterinarian policy of insurance with Nationwide Pet and paid an additional amount for a cancer coverage. When Bug was diagnosed with brain cancer, Nationwide told me the cancer rider did not apply and the coverage was limited to the injury coverage, which is half of the coverage for cancer. It refused to pay what it owed. For a year it sent a letter each month claiming it was looking into the claim. I filed a lawsuit and it denied I had a policy of insurance and that I paid for it all these years. With a loomi... read more

Worst insurance EVER! Including the lying agents, that tell you everything is covered, until something happens, then they look for anyway to not pay you. Perhaps they should change their slogan to “Not on your side”!!
