Nationwide Pet Insurance is horrible; they do not care about the customer at all. They simply want to take your premiums, and they make customers jump through hoops every time a legitimate claim has been incurred. However, what prompted this review is after a year of covering my dog, upon renewal I was told by Nationwide that they had decided to exclude Lyme Disease for my dog (even though in the first year of coverage they covered it). I would like to warn anyone that has a travel policy with Nationwide Mutual Insurance (Travel company division) that you will be severely disappointed during this pandemic era if you file a claim relating to pandemic Covid19 issues. This company will not bend nor be flexible or understanding for any pandemic issues and exposures whatsoever when you file a claim. Nationwide Pet Insurance is extremely unethical and terrible to deal with. I pay $60 a month and have recently due to Covid am unemployed. My pet had an illness and the vet bill was over $700 which I had to front. I submitted my claim immediately and they made me jump through hoops for the proper reimbursement amount due to the vet not putting down a diagnosis. I had the paperwork corrected immediately and now I’m waiting on the correct reimbursement which was approved by Nationwide which is a bulk of the amount I paid. They... read more

Our dog had emergency surgery in October and we submitted a claim on November 3, 2020. Nationwide requested additional documentation from any veterinary visits since August and this was provided December 3, 2020. In January 2021 we received a letter indicating Nationwide needed another 30 days to process this claim. Another letter was received today, January 27, that another 30 days was necessary to process our claim.

Cancelled my auto policy through the agent, a representative of their company. 4 months later I receive a letter of collections. When I called, I was told it was pretty much my fault for going through the agent that is a representative of the company because the agent never submitted the paperwork. What I didn't like is while I was trying to explain what had happened, the attitude was that I was not telling the truth and owed them money for the coverage I had received for free. I’ve have had Nationwide as my homeowners insurance provider for 18 years. In that time I have never filed a claim. I have put up with yearly increases in the premium because that’s the way all insurance companies are. I just received my renewal bill. They have increased my premium by 25 percent for this next year. So instead of $825 the cost is now $1031. We are in the middle of a pandemic and the worst unemployment in decades and Nationwide thinks it’s ok to stick it to their customers like that? Shame on the whole company... read more

Actually would rate with negative stars if possible. Was sold a Nationwide New Heights 9 indexed annuity (3 yr point to point) in 2017 by a 'friend'. Since stock market was much higher after 3 years I expected there would be a good return on investment but $201,00 initial investment only grew to $204,000 over 3 years or about 0.5 % annual yield. Money left in market over that time nearly doubled in value. Instead, with this Nationwide annuity, when I withdrew it they kept over 10,000 of my money. $201,000 in and 3 years late... read more

After paying almost $ 1500 a years to Nationwide for more than 10 years without any accident ,two weeks ago the commercial truck hit me in back when he try to pass me and damaged my real light, Nationwide refuses to repair my car telling me that your car is total ,I could not believe ,my car engine is new, I bought a new engine in may 2015 and spend almost $ 10.000, they want me to give them my car title and accept $ 4000 ,I told them I can not found the same car used at that price ,by the end of this month I'm going to get ... read more
