on 4/24, severe hails hit our residence area. Most of our neighbors have changed their roof through hassle free process with their insurance company because hail damage was so obvious in my residence area. I Have been a customer for 0ver 15 Years - I have not been able to log on to my pet account for at lest 6 months and you keep rejecting one of my claims. I have 6 dogs on your insurance. Every Time I call i get disconnect or someone that tells me that they cant help me or that I should be able to log on. I cannot and the number that he suggested does not help. I cancelled my pet insurance after one week. Although the advertising says that congenital conditions are covered, they are also considered "pre-existing", and pre-existing conditions are excluded. Since "congenital" literally means "present at birth", this is disingenuous at best. At worst, it is outright fraudulent advertising. Apparently, you have to purchase Nationwide Pet Insurance before your pet is born if you actually want veterinary services to be covered.

I have their full coverage pet insurance. They denied my emergency vet visit because they are claiming that the itchy patch of skin on his side where the shelter's vet shaved before I got him to see a scar calls for a pre-existing condition of dermapathy. My emergency vet visit was an infected neck from a reaction to an Adaptil collar! How can they possibly be related?! Horrible claim service. I filed a claim for my pet in January 2021 and I was told to allow 30 days for review of the claim. At 30 days and supplying additional information, I was told to wait 90 days. At the 90 day mark I was told it was still in review. At that time I canceled my policy. I mean I'm paying for claim coverage that I'm clearly not getting. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR PET INSURANCE. I have a one year cat and went to the vet for regular check up. It’s been 3 months and heard NOTHING back from Nationwide. Each month they sent you a letter saying they need another month to review (No other explanation) and this keeps going. How much time do you need to review the medical document for a one year cat? Complete Scam. I had a $4,000 surgery for my pet. I paid my premium for 11years with one small claim. I get a check $300. A slap in the face. For the actual surgery they gave me $90. The rest was anesthesia and testing. Ridiculous and heartless
I have been with nationwide for over 10+ years. I rarely have had to file any claims. In the instances where I filed a claim or inquired about a claim or ANY change to my coverages, I have been met with absurd customer service, blatantly rude, dismissive, and accusatory reps. Nationwide has cancelled my PAID car insurance coverages without my consent because I did not need to add my step son to my cars (he is insured through my husband).
