In July of 2019 we acquired homeowner's insurance, auto and and a personal liability policy from Nationwide. A month or two later, we received a terse statement from Nationwide that they were cancelling our homeowner's policy due to the fact that we were not within 1,000 feet of a fire hydrant. A nationwide client rear ended my stepdaughters car totaling it. The total loss department in des moines ia is proving to be extremely low class offering less than market value to settle the claim. I am interested in a class action law suit. I am going to call them repeatedly requesting they be fair with the intent of wasting has much of their time has possible. I encourage others to do the same. Nationwide is not on my side.

This company has to be the worse to deal with!! I was not ask to be hit by their customer and all I want is my car to be fixed. They have been no help in dealing with the body shop. They also are denying fixing my car the way it should be. I should not have to get a lawyer involved for a simple accident. No one ever picks up the phone and you play phone tag or email tag. So now I have been without my car for a month and they just cancelled the rental car and my car is still in the shop waiting on their approval to fix my car... read more

After the August 2018 tornado in the Aitkin, Mn area i filed a claim for hail damage on my property and car.I received money to fix my car. I received funds to fix my house roof, damage on my house included replacing the decking under the new shingles due to the spaces between the old boards. The roofing my screen porch was replaced. On the 2 car detached i received no money. Because they did not want to pay my claim on the garage roof an engineer was paid by allied/nationwide to look at my garage. I had Nationwide when I got into accident. I called them and made them aware of the situation, and was told they would get back with me. I waited and waited at least 1 week before I gave them a follow up call. During that time I drove a wrecked vehilce 20 miles to work. Horrible service.
Nationwide client totaled my son's truck. Nationwide value of the truck was several thousand below market value. My son has to now come up with several thousand dollars in order to get an equivalent truck. Anyone have similar problems...Anyone interested in a class action lawsuit?

please do NOT use this insurance, you literally trashing your money, i have my car got hi while parked in a parking lot, nobody left a note or number, anyways, their report said i hit the car myself, (the hit was from the rear right door where it is impossible to make it even in purpose) but anyways, it took them 20 days to tell me case denied. I wouldn’ Recommend this company to anyone. The agent talked over me and hung up in my face. They also processed my payment four days ago and still has yet to draft the payment.

I filed a calm on my roof for hail damage with nationwide, their adjuster came out looked at my roof only offered to fix half of the roof and after the $2000 deductible, they would only pay $67. The roofing company tried to tell the adjuster that they could not even find shingles to match with the half that nationwide wouldn't fix. I told nationwide I disagreed and said I will not go ahead with the claim. I switched insurances after the poor coverage with nationwide.
