Their low ratings make sense after my experience today. I was scheduled for a termite inspection and the technician that called me made up a ridiculous excuse so he wouldn't have to drive across town to my home. He said the Orkin has a gentleman's agreement with terminix and won't service properties that were previously serviced by terminix. So customers can't get second opinions? Or change providers? Orkin responded they are "concerned" to hear my review, yet I wrote the business owner they gave me the name for (Joe Ragoiza) who never wrote me back, and never sent us a copy of the chemicals used in our home, without our consent or knowledge. THIS IS ILLEGAL. The operator kept hiding behind the excuse that their "contract is with the landlord". Apparently they have never reviewed CA Business & Prof Code § 8538, which specifically provides pest companies must give proper notice to not only owners/landlords BUT ALSO tenants... read more

This company came and sprayed toxic chemicals on our property, without our knowledge, while we along with our pet and children were all on site. When we called to find out the name of the chemicals used onsite, they refused to release any information, despite the fact this is illegal under California law, because they are under contract with our shady landlord. They have the worst customer Service I have ever experienced.... If I wasn't in a contract , I would Definitely never use them again. I will make sure I let everyone know not to use this company!!! Please do not be fooled by the specials. It's not worth it.!!!!! I wish I didn't even have to give one sthey deserve none.!

Unprofessional, Unreliable, No communication and Zero Follow Up! They took my money upfront (in full) and did not complete the job. First visit they did a partial service; blaming the customer for not having wet soil (which was never discussed prior to the work date that this needed to be done). Why is the customer responsible for preparing for a termite treatment anyway, isn't this the professional's responsibility? On the 2nd visit more excuses about why they could not complete the job. So VERY Expensive when you can get better service from a Ma and Pa Outfit. The Termite Fumigation side is Sub Contracted out. We got the same service for half the price

I called Orkin to help with a mouse problem in my house. They charged me $250 upfront and put me on a $51.50/month plan for follow-ups and inspections. Despite months of service, the mice were never dealt with--I'm still hearing them in my attic. I finally canceled my subscription last month and specifically asked them not to charge my credit card again. However, I just discovered another charge on my account. We've paid this company thousands and thousands of dollars for years and they refuse to come out and remove a dead animal from my property. They refuse to let me speak to a manager to discuss it. Save yourself the money save yourself the hassle go with another company
