I have used Orkin for many years and this past experience has prompted my review, which I wish I didn't have to do. We have had several issues dealing with this company, first was kitchen moths, and tho the agent working our home was diligent, the moths kept getting worse and ended up in my closet where they ate the better part of my wardrobe including 3 fur coats. Terrible customer service. I've hired them for a rat infestation issue at a four plex. They went there with a few traps and based on my contract they're supposed to go there monthly to check. Every month someone goes (if they do) and walk a round the building and leave. They were never able to go inside any units. And the problem continues about a year later. Haha I don't know why I didn't read these reviews before hiring them. This company is awful. After transferring me 4 times with each person asking me why I was calling over again, I finally got an appointment. The guy was 25 min past the 2 hour window they gave me and he barely did anything. I asked if he was going to even go upstairs and he said he would do it when he came back. Late. Lazy. Never using these people again. I made the mistake of calling Orkin twice to help my family home with pests and clover mites. During a busy day the tech came by and signed me up for "six months of service for $300." I learned later that I was signing up for a $230 set up fee and $59 a month after that. They also never gave me paperwork at the time of setup because they said their systems were down. I rarely write reviews and when I do it tends to be of a glowing experience. It's unfortunate but that wasn't my situation with Orkin. I requested service as I was having a fly situation in my apartment. They came through once and the flies were still an issue. They came in a second time and the flies were still an issue. As a result, I asked for a refund, which they issued immediately. What then followed were emails, letters in the mail and phone calls about an unpaid balance for the exact amount I was refunded. Not happy with services. Timeframes given are ridiculous (8a-12p). AND NO ONE SHOWS, forced to wait another day! Jobs are done half fast on top of that.

I give it minus CERO star. Really bad customer service. DAVID DEAN " inspector ". Never showed up. I was told many times he will call 1/2 an hour before arrival. Never happened. I called the office a few times to make sure . The woman always said he will call. Finally at 10 am after 2 hours of waiting I called back CARLA wasn't helpeful.
