Install was completed on 3-16-24. The system stopped working on 5-01-24. After several phone calls and promises this system has been sitting and no one has gotten back to us as promised. The panels and contract have been abandoned according to the law.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! The follow up with customer service is not existent. They failed local inspections 3 times!! The solar production has been 33% of what they promised / sold us that it would be! BAD EXPERIANCE do not use them!!!
Horrible customer service. I've been having trouble getting call backs or email responses. Can't get a tech to come out. I'm told I will be charged $350 for a tech to come out and I have to sign a form. I've been asking for the form for days with no response. This same thing has happened once a year during peak production times. My system was off line for 3 weeks last year and I'm already off for a week now.
Shame on Palmetto Solar, very poor customer service and a complete lack of professionalism and respect. I am SHOCKED at the lack of professionalism and respect Palmetto has shown us in our research for solar system for our home. Horrible customer service. They are amazing with communication through the installation process, but once you are installed, if you have any problems, you will have no service. I noticed that my solar panels were not producing power and I called them. First indication that they don’t do anything is they said they monitored your system, but they actually don’t. So I was forced to pay $600 for a new fuse. After two days that fuse or inverter stopped working and now they won’t help me to get it fixed . Keep in mind my system is... read more
I request all customers to never ever buy or do any contract with Palmetto Solar. They have scammer sales representatives planted in the market, which give you false promises that you will get free solar panels etc. The sales representatives promised me that I dont have to pay anything out of my pocket and Massachusetts government is paying for it under clean energy program. Don’t ever purchase. They don’t stand behind their product. After 1 year you will be stuck with $1000 technician bill. They know there products breaks so after 1 year you are SOL. Not only that, but when the system stops producing not even one notification that electricity is not being generated. Awful design, awful app. Don’t do it.
Please note that the cost of service repair is significant. The salesman made big promises about the reliability and efficiency of the technology they were using, but despite this, my monthly kWph has inexplicably increased by 300-400. Furthermore, after 16 months, one of the optimizers has failed, leaving me with a hefty utility bill and a $600 fee to replace the "defective" part.
