My salesperson was fantastic, that's where they get you is their excellent salespeople as well as customer service. However, they have been completely unreliable since the purchase and installation. We're now going on a month of no service and have signed a DocuSign contract to pay $350 for them to come service the unit (apparently through troubleshooting over the phone it's a blown fuse). It really is an unreliable company, they installed the solar project and in less than a year the inverter was damaged, it took +4 months to replace it and they did not cover the extra expenses that they generated for me, they used all possible excuses not to take responsibility , and now less than a year after replacing the inverter, the system stopped working due to the negligence of the technician and they don't want to make the corresponding repairs because I have to pay them... a system that is less than 2 years old, wit... read more
Oh man this company started out really good. They were great and kind from the sales pitch to the install. They even said if I apply for the loan through the company the use they can move my install up 2 weeks. Once the install is done and it passes inspection they aren’t as kind as easily reached with issues. I am having multiple issues. The saving is not worth the loan you take. If I could give zero stars I would. Palmetto came out and installed solar panels on my home. Per Palmetto they will check to make sure that the roof has some life left. There’s no trees blocking the solar panels. If anything like that is happening they’re supposed to deny install and make sure that those trees are removed or of the roof is replaced prior to installing the panels, they installed my panels in October and after the winter I have a leaking roof when the spring time came.I had a roofer come out and give me an ins... read more
Palmetto solar isn't a good company to deal with at all. Its to much red tape to get anything done. On top of the they have promos that Palmetto solar themselves don't know anything about. Or so Palmetto solar told me. I've had my solar panels for 4 years going on 5 and they haven't produced anything close to what they should've. Some background - I was brought into Palmetto for my 49 solar panel system through a personal friend who worked for a partner company at the time - this was back in 2018. He has since left doing business with the company because of how bad Palmetto has fallen apart. Nothing they are doing in solar is genuine anymore - all installs and service are farmed out to 3rd party... Palmetto techs, when doing your initial system install, will drill unnecessary (mistake) holes in your siding. This typically isn't a huge deal - mistakes can happen, just patch it up or fill in the hole, and let the owner know right? But, you guessed it, Palmetto techs will simply leave their mistake holes in your siding, and will neither notify you about or fill in the multiple unnecessary exposed holes you now have in your siding. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I bought 55k worth of panels because I was guaranteed a 100% offset for 25 years. Well the system stopped producing 6 months in. They didnt monitor anything or contact me about a problem. Now I am paying for the panels and my electric bills for 9 MONTHS. They denied a reimbursement claim. This is pure robbery. And no one at Palmetto cares because hey, they are making their money.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. My contract was signed in September 2022, then they canceled my project for NO REASON I’m December of 2022. I called them and asked why, they lied and said I requested it to be canceled, which I never did. After speaking with them they reinstated the project. It is now March 2023 and my project has still not started. I contacted them today and they told me my project was cancelled a second time in December 2022.
