I'm extremely dissatisfied with Palmetto. Since the installation of my panels in December 2021, it has been a continual stream of problems. Just two months after installation, I started receiving emails about communication issues with my panels. Despite being told to reset the box, the problem persists. Recently, I received a surprise visit from a service person, I was not home they rang my ring bell, and now I'm facing a $400 bill to be told that my communication box is malfunctioning, something I was already aware of. We began looking into solar around August 2023. Upon first impression, the salesman seemed very knowledgeable and made solar sound like it was the fix for all of our electricity needs. Everything seemed great until we began having the system installed. First, they came out, installed the system, and left multiple holes in the walls that they said would have to be repaired by either myself or a qualified drywall repair man. Im going to keep this short: I was promised 22000 kwh a year, i get 14000 kwh a year. After a year, they still havent taken this tree down that they promised. Everything that the sales man Zedan said to me has been a lie. It should be a 0 star review.
I started my journey with Palmetto almost 2 years ago. I was working with a salesman name Adam. he promised me that my panels on my house would cover 100% of my electricity usage. I was drowning in bills after buying my first home and my overly expensive electric bill was something I was looking forward to getting rid of. When the representative of Palmetto named XXXX came in first time to the house to explain how the system work. So the representative painted a nice picture to the point I told him to come where I have someone else to listen to what he said. the 2nd time came in and he explain to both of us that this system will eliminate the bill I receive from duke Energy completely and only service fee I would pay about $14 a month because the solar system will produce more then what I consumed and the credit will go to duke where I can us... read more
Within my 3yrs of having solar panels my inverter has broken twice. Meaning that my panels aren’t producing any energy. This takes months for them to replace. Also I have been paying an electricity bill every month the same amount I was paying before solar panels were installed. I live in Florida. Customer service is of no help
A month ago started having an isolated roof leak. Contacted Palmetto Solar, and they sent someone out five days later. Two guys went onto the roof and informed me the problem was fixed. Today, the roof is leaking in the exact spot they had allegedly fixed, only now the drip is much faster. Had to put a bucket under it to catch the water, of course now my ceiling is ruined.
