So today I get my insurance premium for my two cars from Pekin and find it jumped $200. The reason? Credit information. Apparently they think I don't pay off all my accounts on time (I do. I have the credit report to show it) and they are upset they don't have credit information about my car financing (Well, that is because I pay cash for my cars). I would NEVER, EVER use this insurance again. I've not filed a claim with this company over 12 years the house I bought had been insured by Pekin for over 20 year without a claim file. That didn't stop my insurance rates from going up despite my same car's value going down over that course in time. I always paid my premiums on time and when I finally decided to change companies, I was harassed and threatened about being sent to a collection agency. We had trouble with payments going to the right policy from the very beginning. After they sorted our their issues, we still had to pay late fees for payments that were directed to the right policy to begin with. Now, after over paying them, they are trying to cancel our auto policy because they put the payments towards the renters insurance. I am very disgusted by this and I should not have to worry about cancellation when I am selecting AUTO on their website to complete payments.

Pekin insurance is a horrible co. It took them 10 days worth of them dragging their feet before I had to call on getting my car fixed. (My wife and kids got hit on the passenger side). I had to leave 4 messages for Justin AFTER 10 days of no contact or updates about my vehicle. I eventually had to speak to his "Supervisor" Don which was just as pathetic. 15 days later and 21 different phone calls and we finally received a check for the damages.
