Pekin Insurance agents hang up on you consistently and do not only refuse to pay on claims but deal unprofessionally with customers. My attorney who worked for Pekin Insurance says to stay as far away as possible as they DO NOT pay claims and have the worst customer service available and I can not agree more!
3-8-16 filed a claim for our roof. Not 15 minutes later the adjuster called and set up appraisal. Had hopes for smooth transaction. WRONG. The adjuster did come out to appraise the roof on 3-9-16. No follow up that he was out, NOTHING. About the 16th I called and he said he was working on the quote. He said he was authorizing half a roof??? What does that mean? This poor review is not about Pekin them self's. But on one of there agents in IL. Market Financial Group Say away from this place this is a quote from one of there agent's in a email I received. "Your happiness is not our encouragement to success in how we serve our client." Wow I always though you wanted your customers to be happy!
Our family moved over one year ago, we changed our address with Pekin for our auto and home owners insurance. 12 months after the move they sent a notice to our old address that our premium increased $50 we never got the notice so we made the normal payment and mailed the check. Then they mailed a notice again to the old address stating since we still owe $50 on our auto policy they had closed our policy! The very next day I got rear-ended while sitting at a red light and the state needed proof of insurance for that day whic... read more
