Our family moved over one year ago, we changed our address with Pekin for our auto and home owners insurance. 12 months after the move they sent a notice to our old address that our premium increased $50 we never got the notice so we made the normal payment and mailed the check. Then they mailed a notice again to the old address stating since we still owe $50 on our auto policy they had closed our policy! This is based on my first day dealing with Pekin. The customer service rep was extremely rude. I was in an accident last night with one of their insurers and I'm told I have to wait 5 days for someone to contact me. I told her this is unacceptable as I need a vehicle. She told me to rent a car with my own money and maybe they can reimburse me for it. But she can't tell me rather they can or not. What a joke. My insurance company has been in contact with me all day today.
