Fastest refinance ever!!!
We have been very happy with the service we have received from PennyMac over the last few years, so we decided to stay with PennyMac for our refinance. The representatives communicated with us every step of the way, which made the process easy. We received a competitive rate, so we're looking forward to the savings, as well as many more years working with the PennyMac team!
I refinanced my home loan with PennyMac. It was so simple, they anserwed all of my questions, such a simple process and I got a great rate. So excited that I secured my future with retirement on the horizon. Thank you PennyMac team, you all were fantastic to work with!
Need more communication. Did NOT return phone calls. Did NOT return emails. I was told that I would receive a credit at closing for prepaying the appraisal, I did NOT receive a credit so I felt lied to. I also would upload documents requested to the portal and then received an email requesting these same documents. Why doesn't PennyMac retrieve these documents from the portal and process them before requesting the same documents?! I am going to refinance to another company!
The entire process was horrible. started the loan process in mid Feb. the first one was closed for inactivity but was never notified of any documents pending till i called 24 hours before the closing deadline. After that you reopened another loan process then take close to 60 days to close. Overall the company had poor communication and untrained staff always giving misleading information. Wish i would have gone with my credit union instead.

What stood out was that I was asked for the same documents several times with dead time in between. As the outsider, it seemed this occurred because several employees were involved, delaying the loan process by 2 or 3 weeks. I can't say this refi was an emergency so in the end this was not a disaster for me, but the unnecessary delay could have made a big difference in someone else's life. By the way, I have yet to receive my check, but I understand it is in the mail.
