Easy process. Quick turnaround within one month from start to finish.
Loan process was extremely easy and the team I had did great. Only 1 question was answered incorrectly. I asked if the negative balance was money that I would receive and I got a call back saying that it was not but it was. Not a big deal at all,very satisfied with the team.
The process from start to finish took a looooooong time. I never knew who the primary point of contact was supposed to be. I didn’t feel that the process was explained well and had no idea what to expect next. There were several times that I received emails with “required documents” but was told to ignore them so that confused me further. Once all the documents were finally prepared no one explained to me what it was that I was signing. I was just expected to sign a stack of pages.
Our loan was quick and easy. We save $166 per MONTH!! Thank you Penny Mac

Direct access to our loan specialist, accurate documents at closing, ability to answer difficult questions with an accurate answer in a more timely manner, and more transparency regarding final cash to close numbers would all have helped make the process smoother.
This was my 3rd loan with PennyMac, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Easier process than others I've use in the past. Fast dependable service, Very professional. Give them a try tell them Stephen August sent you!
I chose PennyMac for my refi in part because they have held my current loan for a few years. During that time I encountered no problems with them, and found their website and phone app easy to navigate for questions and information. The refi has been a breeze, with one exception: I expected to receive my funds when the loan was funded. No funds were received by my bank that day. Hopefully it will be the next business day.
