The communication and process experience I had through PennyMac was excellent. The only issue we had was with a subcontractor filing the appraisal and once it was brought up PennyMac sent another appraiser and everything got back on track. We had good experience with PennyMac with our original home loan and therefore decided to use them on our refinance, as well.

1. The initial adjuster (Julie/Julia) advised my that since I was doing a VA Refinance that there will be a soft inquiry into my credit. That was a lie. There was a Hard Inquiry into my credit. 2. Had to reschedule my wife signing at closing on 4/20 to 4/23 due to some errors between PennyMac and the Title Company. Was not happy with that. 3. Was told that the closing cost would be waived. That was a lie. 4. Hard to get a hold of the loan officer (Deborah) at times for follow up.

Had Pennymac I’m with my previous house. They make the process fairly seamless. When things do go sideways management is quick to step in and resolve the issue.

Natalia was amazing at providing insights into the process and clearly articulated various complex issues. Martha was always there to answer our calls and keep our application on track. We were never placed on hold for too long and everyone was cordial throughout the process despite strains working from home. We really appreciated their hard work!
