The refinance with Pennymac was outstanding. They answered all my questions and stayed on top of every step of the process. Everything was on order on my end and the loan was approved in 3 1/2 weeks and closed within 30 days. The fastest I’ve ever closed on a refinance. Thanks Pennymac!
The process took about 7 - 10 days longer than expected. Also, the preliminary value of my home was exploited which raised my expectations on the extra cash I would receive. After a true appraisal of almost $20k less, the amount I received was about $10k less than first expected. Overall though, the debts I wanted paid off were paid off and now I am debt free except for the mortgage. I am happy.
