Closing was delayed due to the appraiser which should have been avoided if the appraiser would have communicated with us.

Grace Sparks was outstanding in every aspect and at every step throughout the loan process. She called me regularly to provide updates so I always knew where we were in the process. This is the second mortgage that I have had with PennyMac; their service is outstanding. As for Grace Sparks I would highly recommend that anyone starting to shop a mortgage to seek out Grace to lead you through the process.
I feel like I had to call frequently to ask questions or to check on stuff, and I didn’t always get the same answers depending on who I spoke with. And my realtor said that she had NO communication from y’all unless she contacted you and included my first contact (Daniel Vera) in her emails.
Pennymac did a great job.
My loan specialist was able to provide me with a good amount of lender credits to compensate for the misunderstanding that appraisal fees were refundable if I choose a different lender.
Such an easy process has been and far outweighed my expectations. Closing was done so quickly! All my questions were answered each time I called, and the team was very kind.
