I enjoyed my overall experience working w/ pennymac agency and the team I was assigned to. They got me closed on time and work promptly to ensure my closing was successful. Latrice did her best to keep me updated and communicated with me. When she was not available her team were very pleasant and able to take care of all of my needs.
Communication and responses to our emails. Our real estate team (realtor and escrow) were on board with our closing dates and timeline, but even they were having difficulty getting answers from PennyMac. We understand we're just one application out of many, but this was a big deal for us, and to not get responses from all contacts within PennyMac created a lot of undue stress.
Overall the experience was more than unpleasant. From day one, our loan was set up to fail on delivering. When spoken to about locking in the interest rate and setting a closing date, Bethany, informed us to set it at June 30th since that is the end of the 45 day lock-in period and it was a safe bet. This was even though we told her the house was scheduled to be finished on June 22nd and our AirBnb ended on June 27th, she said it would not be an issue to close early. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. This Refi will put us in a better financial spot in the long term - happy we went through the process with Penny Mac.
Would have been better if I was considered for an assumption loan as I deserved one after bringing Lewis jones’ loan current with a $20,000 payment. Your website claims you offer assumption loans and I was awarded this house in a divorce and have been paying on it but you refused to offer that. Not to mention your staff offered next to no information regarding assumption loans. I realize you make a lot more money refinancing at a ridiculous interest rate and that’s why it didn’t happen. Grace did an amazing job making sure that we were informed on what was happening at all times. Initially we were told from our realtor that we shouldn’t go with PennyMac though everyone Dwayne assured us this was not the case. Both Dewayne and Grace made it feel like a local company. Would highly recommend.
I felt like it took a long time because nothing was done in person.
Great Experience. Quickly done and excellent staff to work with.
