Once I was put in touch with someone the process was smooth and quick. We ended up being able to close three weeks sooner than anticipated. Each time I emailed a question I received a fairly quick response; usually by the next business day. The only difficult process was getting connected to someone. Each time I received an initial call from Pennymac I was placed on hold for more than 10 min to be connected to an agent. I finally explained that after the 5th call and was immediately connected.
Overall I am happy to continue to be working with PennyMac over the years as loan agent. I recently refinanced my VA loan and was able to get a really low rate of 2.25%! The process was simple and stress free, it took a little time and some explanation but at the end it was all worth it!

I was told I would receive an update weekly...that didn't happen. I had to call and leave a message each week. I wasn't able to log onto the website for a loan update as the loan # provided and my social wasn't recognized. I was told that the reason closing was delayed was because I didn't esign my documents in a timely manner, when I actually esigned within 30 mins of receiving my email. Communication is key and seriously lacking.
First of all Katelyn did an excellent job on her part but it took ages to have the Loan officer contacted after we initially talked to some person. He never ever called us back and we wrote to Penny Mac but yet to receive any replies to date within three months .The second Loan officer have not very much helpful as We have told about the wrong Credit Bureau reports submitted by Penny Mac's own Company and still to date nothing has been answered. I though the refinancing process would be complicated and tedious, but it was too easy!
My refinance experience with PennyMac and in particular Mariann Quick, was phenomenal. From start to finish the process was a breeze. Mariann was an absolute pleasure to work with and I can't say enough good things about her and her professionalism. Highly recommended! Thank you!
