Overall the rate was good and PennyMac matched a competitor with lower closing costs. I really don’t like have to go through the formal application process to get an estimate. Also after the match was complete I didn’t see an updated closing statement until a week or so before closing. At which point I had some requests on the cash back at closing. I would just prefer with any change to issue a new closing statement.
Glenn M was terrible to work with. The communication was terrible and the refinance process dragged on for almost four months when it shouldnt have taken more than two. Thankfully Exavier stepped in to get things moving or I would most likely still be sitting and waiting to hear they need more documents for some new unneeded reason.

I would have to send multiple emails to get answers . My middle name still wasn't right, just like the first closing.
Overall, the experience went as expected since this is not my first loan with Penny Mac. While the overall experience went smoothly and I appreciate my loan officers dedication, the closing got delayed twice with little or no information on what was going on. As I was deployed with the military, this made communication much more difficult. Also, due to the delays, the closing numbers changed enough that it caused me pause which resulted in another discussion on how the numbers changed and why
