Everything was great, except it took a little longer than we expected. I think maybe that was a COVID thing.
Very quick and easy
It was a simple and straightforward process from application to closing with regular updates provided.
It's hard to tell how much of the delay was due to Covid. I thought the process would be more seamless since PennyMac was already my loan servicer. I had to email questions b/c the m.a.c. portal wasn't up to date. At some point, I received a letter from my insurance carrier stating that the premium hadn't been paid (via escrow) and then PennyMac advised they were going to purchase insurance b/c of "my failure" to provide proof of insurance. Just more frustrating than I expected.
The only think I found fault with is that attaching documents in the doclink is very difficult. Also the closing Lawyer you used is very hard to work with.
PennyMac made refinancing my home was much easier than I expected. They ensured I had a full understanding of what to expect during the process and made things very convenient for me and my busy schedule. If you’re having any doubts about refinancing, just give them a call! That’s precisely what I did and it lead to a lower mortgage and money saved each month.
She was always there to answer any questions I had and thoroughly explained everything each step of the way. She was very helpful!
My loan officer, Kami, was amazing throughout the entire process. I knew she was very busy and working extra hours during this pandemic, but she still managed to answer my questions in a timely manner. I will definitely recommend my friends and family to PennyMac.
