Everyone I encountered was very nice and helpful. But, it always took more than one attempt to get a response. Taking into consideration the unusually high volume of customers requesting assistance during these unprecedented times, I believe everyone tried to manage the best they could.
My customer service representative was great and I enjoyed working with him. He communicated well and was available when I had questions. As a whole my experience with PennyMac could’ve been better. The process has better defined with a timeline that was followed from other lenders I’ve worked with in the past. Thank you, Cole
Eric was very responsive and answered all my questions. The overall process was very smooth and painless.
Took from December 2019 to close in July 2020. Had to answer number requests for the same paperwork. Very frustrating process. Better communication. Not receiving numerous e mails from separate people over and over for the same paperwork. The first time I refinanced with PennyMac was a breeze compaired to this time.

Prompt call backs and accurately providing information would have improved my opinion. Towards the end I had to go straight to Molly's supervisor for everything i needed. He was able to actually help me and get thing done. I was inaccurately told I had lost both my jobs, had the same doc requested over and over again only to learn the doc they needed as a different one than what I was being told. Would get call back at 9pm days after leaving a message asking questions. Loan took almost 90 days!
We were continually presented with inaccurate estimate documents that didn’t match what we discUssed with the initial person we worked with. It was difficult to contact Molly but once we did she was very helpful but then we would get another round of inaccurate estimates. This extended the process significantly.
