Several areas of miscommunication from day 1 of the process. I stayed with Penny Mac for the refinance because I thought it would be more convenient but I was mistaken. I had to email various levels of management throughout the process to have things corrected or to keep the process moving. Not a good experience at all. Honestly, I waited a week to do this survey because I was afraid things wouldn’t go through correctly, even after the closing! That’s how little confidence I have now in PMC.

I started applying for this refi in February. Granted my wife died in March and we had to restart the process. Loan did not close until July and only after repeated delays, requests for the same documents multiple times, long delays in communication, calls and emails from me unreturned, and when answered, the answers were vague, argumentative and unhelpful. This is the worst mortgage experience I’ve ever had.
