The only option if your above ground pool has wrinkles in the lining Works great for removing leaves. Does not pick up sand. The device randomly moves about the pool and it takes a few hours to clean all areas. I have tried several automatic cleaners and all got hung up on wrinkles in the lining. This unit works no matter the size or number of wrinkles.
Just wish they lasted longer Like this pool sweep. Does a good job. The only complaint I have is that you pretty much can count on replacing it every 2 to 3 years max. Oh you can buy replacement parts but by the time you get what you need you can almost pay for a new one.Again works well and it it lasts 2 years that works out to cost about 8 bucks a month to not have to vacuum the pool. I'll pay that.
Doesn't come with proper fittings Was so excited to purchase this item. Read reviews about how it flies around the pool so fast that the net doesn' stay on the bottom of the pool and you have to adjust the air intake for that.... Mine hardly moves at all. In fact if I want the bottom of my pool clean I have to stand out there with it and move it around myself manually. What good is that?! Thoroughly disappointed Phenomenal - when it’s not flipping over shooting water outside of my pool. This vac and sweep does a great job of clearing debris from the bottom of the pool. Unfortunately, the bumper wheels regularly come off. I find the parts in its net and have to constantly screw them back onto the unit.The worst part of my experience with the Polaris 65, however, has been that it regularly flips over and shoots water OUT of the pool. Great but didn’t fit my intex I like the fiter it’s doing a good job. My only dislike is that there is no readily available adapter for the intex 4-inch threaded return. I had to hit the hardware store and get a schedule 40 4-in threaded female cleanout insert ans a 4” to 2” reducer and a 1.5” threaded insert. I PVC cemented those together and screwed in the stock quick disconnect and that thing has been suckin and blowin like a champ in my 16x32x52”intex pool.
Makes cleaning your pool effortless! We have used this product ever since we first installed our pool six years ago. They do not last forever, usually two seasons and when it doesn't work as well a new, we purchase another one and keep the old one for parts and pieces. Be sure to cut the hoses as instructed. We didn't the first few times, thinking we knew better, but this time we did and it works better than ever. Doesn’t work like it should I was I would have read the reviews on this more. We had one before this one that worked great this one had been a pain in our necks. We have tried everything but it keeps wanting to turn over or go in circles. When we first got it I reached out for help but never got it honestly I wouldn’t buy it again
Quality not has goodWorks like stated but The media could not be loaded. Had previously rated it with a five star but since, three months or so the wheels became loose and I lost a pin that holds one of the wheels. The first one I had lasted for years with only replacing the net.
Sometimes it works great and sometimes not My first Polaris was terrible. It wrapped itself in a circle by the skimmer and never moved. hated it! The company sent me another one. it worked great the first time. Scooted all over and around the pool, but now it does the same occasionally as the old one until I physically move it out, then it works great, but it will eventually find the one area and get wrapped up in the hose, then I move it again.
