The classics are best Pool owner for 30 years. Our prior 2 cleaners were 280 style, then we bought a house that had a 3900 installed. The 3900 needed quarterly trips to the store for tune-ups/repair, until one day they told us its guts were in such bad shape they couldn't reassemble without an incredibly expensive kit costing almost HALF the price of a new 280. Mixed feelings I had written a review with one star because the Polaris arrived broken and I did not realize it until I had already cut the hose to fit my pool. After several emails back and forth with the company, they did send replacement parts and I did have to fix it myself. I do love the Polaris itself. My old one lasted 25 years with annual upkeep. great quality My old Polaris 280 last 8-10 years, this new one is faster and seems to have a stronger vacuum (probably because my old one was just worn out:). Kit came with everything, very well made and works great (I have had it in the pool for 4 days now, I cant remember when the pool bottom looked so clean).. great design (better/ more reliable than the 370) and very fair price. Highly recommend this!

Decent cleaner for basic rectangular pool not surrounded by mature trees I own a fiberglass pool below a number of mature oaks. As a result we needed a good heavy duty pool cleaner to clean out the leafs, acorns, and pollen. This machine has good suction and was easy to install but that’s where the positives ended for me. The machine goes wherever it wants and that’s usually into the corner by the steps where it gets stuck and I have to rescue it.
