Easy setup out of the box. Straightforward directions, minimal issues. Does occasionally get “stuck” in the very same areas our old Pentair used to get stuck in. This unit, however, seems to have a “stronger” backup valve than the Pentair unit. Picks up lots of debris off of the bottom of the pool in the deep end that is hard to see. Overall, I’m pleased- only time will tell if this unit outlasts the previous Pentair unit- which ran nearly 24/7 for 4 seasons until it crapped out.

To prevent the cleaner from getting stuck, check the following: 1) Verify proper flow by counting the wheel revolutions per minute (RPMs). 2) Ensure the Back-up Valve is cycling on and off about every three minutes. 3) Adjust the Thrust Jet to change the directional path of the cleaner. Doesn’t get all of the sand but does a pretty good job.
