It is working well without tangles in the line. Easy to change and empty bag.
Polaris 280 isn’t the biggest and fanciest with lots of extras - it is simply a really good pool sweep. If it has issues, which our old one didn’t until it got pretty old - it is easy to fix. I brought our old one back to life twice before the reverse valve split. No fault of the sweep, but we decided it was time to replace. It works well, but it sprays outside the pool too much. The spray makes windows and glass doors look bad.

We have had a Polaris 280 for ten years. It has run great. We have rebuilt it twice but it kept running. We have just bought another.
It cleans the pool but it neglects an area in the pool so I brush that area before I turn the Polaris on. It runs in the same areas so much that it has worn the printed pattern off my liner in just three months. I have a new pool so I called the pool company with my concern with the liner. They told to quit running the Polaris... Why did I spend $1500 on it again???
This cleaner works much better than the older model we have had for many years. It is easier to empty the leaf catcher and it does the job better. I recommend it!
I have used a Polaris for 30+ years. I just replaced the 380 with a 280 on the recommendation of my pool service person.
