terrible This is a piece of cr*p Totally frustrating and expensive tape i have had other brothers labelers that have been great Battery life is zero. Also some issue with this labeler which is supposed to be a no-brainer Won't buy brothers again
Do NOT BUY this labeler The 6 AAA batteries on this labeler drain after about 10 labels, or if the labeler sits without being used for a week. I have a different Brother P-Touch labeler that uses AA batteries and I rarely have to change the batteries even if the labeler sits unused for months.
OK while it lasted Used about 4 times in one year. When I took it out to use the 5th time, it would not power up. Changed the batteries and still would not power up. Seems like it is dead. I would expect a device like this to last 10 years+. Dead after one year is very disappointing. Also, as others have pointed out, it sure loves to waste as much tape as possible.
It's great BUT.... This label maker needs a step by step instructions on HOW to create a label for incompetent label makers like me! Instead it comes with a large piece of paper that shows you the settings of the label maker. I had to waste a bunch of labels to figure this out. It was frustrating for me in the beginning because it kept printing in a small font when I had chosen the large font. It also kept telling me, 'text limit' when I had typed hair. Like really dude, it's 4 letters! I originally entered 'hair samples' th... read more

Major Problems - Don't Buy This! I bought this from a box store and it prints correctly about 50 percent of the time. The other 50 percent, it prints on the wrong side of the tape - similar to the way you would stick something on a window to see it on the other side. There's only one way to stick the tape in and the settings are fine, it's just a major defect in the labeler. I literally have to smack it a couple times and then it starts printing correctly again. Of course, when it is having problems, I'm throwing money down ... read more
What were the designers thinking? Prints nicely but wasted material at beginning and end of every label. Their way of selling more expensive label cassettes. Also terrible design flaw in using AAA batteries when plenty of room for AAs that would last longer. Even if off it uses batteries up. If labeler will be unused for any length of time best to remove batteries. If you opt to use external power supply note center pin is minus, not plus. Would not buy this again.
Wasteful, stupid, don't buy it STAY AWAY. STAY VERY FAR AWAY. This product is designed to waste your time and money (and label tape). It requires you to print either very large margins -- RIDICULOUSLY LARGE MARGINS -- or if you choose a "narrow" margin, it gives a narrow margin on the right side but requires you to cut the label on the left side. The only purpose of this is to use extra label tape. This is a waste of money and make you have a scissors around all the time. Don't support this bad business practice and purposel... read more
No power cord? Really? I'll update as necessary but I really would have paid attention to the fact that this thing doesn't come with an adapter. I just assumed so its my fault but if I had paid attention and read. I would have paid more for one that did. Frankly I should have for the money I did pay.. If it was worth the hassle to return it, I would. But I'll make do for a while and buy an off brand universal charger so THEY at least don't get more of my hard earned money. This thing better be worth my money. I'm already not... read more
