Maybe best tape mc's out there. Good product, they all seem to waste some tape at each end of printing.
Eats Batteries! Makes Labels just fine, but EATS BATTERIES. If you use it only once in a while you should remove the batteries, otherwise you'll be searching for 6 -AAA batteries. And if you're like me you might find yourself in a rage that it cost you six bucks to make a label.
I'm very disappointed with this that doesn't come with the cord I'm very disappointed with this that doesn't come with the cord! The batteries die every time I go to use it. I feel like I got ripped off on it since I now have to purchase the cord in order to use it! It's awesome when it works. I have even tried some of the cords I have around here. They fit, but won't work with this :(
Wasteful !! Wasteful by design and intention. You will end up wasting over 50% of your tape no matter what you do. Honestly wouldn't recommend anyone to buy this crap. It's just morally wrong

Bought this day one and printed 10-12 labels. Put it on the shelf in my office where it sat for a month. Tried using it today and it won't even turn on. Needed new batteries. I also agree with other's opinions on the amount of wasted white-space on printed labels. This is a very wasteful label maker, both in labels and batteries.
Purchased Adapter, Did Not Improve Functionality After making two, maybe three labels, this labeler had completely used up the 6 AAA batteries, so I decided to purchase the AC adapter. This has not improved the functionality of the labeler at all. Even when the labeler is plugged into the adapter, it turns off several times before I can get a label printed. It seems to be very "(p)touchy" (pun). I would rather have a simple labeler that can print more than two labels at a time than this one with all its bells and whistles.
It died after 4 labels I've had it for 5 days and have made 4 labels with it. This morning I turned it on to make some more labels and it died. I changed the batteries, it didn't work. I plugged it in, it didn't work. What a colossal waste of money. I'm so disappointed that amazon would sell a defective product.
Saving Tape The ideal way of saving tape is by chain printing and eliminating the blank lead that is added to the beginning of each label. When chain printing is not used, the lead has to be cut off with a pair of scissors and wasted. The instructions that come with the labeler are not clear on how to set "chain print" and eliminate this waste. To do this, the configuration for the margins must be set to chain print. The instructions do not indicate that in the margins menu there are four options for specifying margin width:... read more
Tape waste, ugh. The leading edge of the tape is always going to be wasted given the design of the labeler. I hate waste, particularly when it is through bad design and benefits the company (sell more tape) and costs me money. Brother just lost this customer. I tend to avoid companies that use bad design to eat up customer dollars, companies that refuse to provide complete manuals with their products, and companies that do not employ customer service reps who can not communicate (because of attitude or language or inaccessib... read more
