Not worth the money! I bought this label maker for $10. I thought I got a screaming deal! Not so much... First of all, I bought this thing no less than 2 months ago and the batteries (SIX AAA batteries) are dead. These were not the 'starter' batteries that often come with electronic devices, this label maker didn't come with ANY batteries, I put six brand new Duracell batteries in it when I bought it. Power hungry, but decent. Nice labeler, but you better buy either an AC adapter or a couple cases of batteries because this thing is power hungry! It will drain your batteries while it's in storage, as well. I replaced dead batteries with a fresh set, printed a couple small labels, put it awry for two or three weeks, come back to print another label and it only prints half the label because it wanted to interrupt the printing to tell me the batteries are low (printed same label just fine right after the low battery warning).... read more
It's OK This item should come with a means to power it. Out of the box it's worthless. Seems to work just fine though!
WASTE TOO MUCH TAPE. DO NOT BUY THUS!!! I feel its a scam to sell more tape!!! I love the label maker its Awesome!!! I would return it if I could.
Eats Batteries Eats batteries - Basic function is ok, until you start to use other features. Instructions are difficult to understand for advance features.
Worked exactly once I used this label maker once, and then put it on a shelf. A few days later, I tried to use it again. Dead. I tried replacing the batteries. Nothing. What a waste of money. I would never buy this brand again.
Poor battery life and Waste of tape All the other reviews are right about the battery life: even if you only printed one label, your batteries will be dead next time you try to use it, get ready with 6 AAA batteries! It is ridiculous! Brother is clearly about selling the overpriced tapes. Yes, the reviewers here are right: at least one inch wasted space on each side of your labels, no matter how you change settings.
junk I opened th box, put newe batteries in and tried to print a label it did not work at all. I was very disappointed.
Ok seriously I thought others were just whining about the battery life but this is a joke. I got a few labels out of the thing with fresh batteries before it wanted six more, or is it eight? My last Brother worked great for years on the original batteries but this model is seriously defective. Label by hand it's quicker and cheaper than replacing batteries on this ridiculous blood tick.
