Machine is faulty The p touch drains the batteries. I have changed them twice and used the machine only 3 times. I turn off the machine after every use. I am extremely disappointed.

Piece of junk!! I bought two of these for both home and office. I used them both the first week to print file labels, turned them off, one month later went to use the one in my office and the batteries were dead. So, I went home to use the other one and those batteries were dead as well. I put new batteries in to get my job done and again shelved it for a couple of weeks, took it out to use it again a few weeks later and the same thing happened! I called Brother who made me round both of them up to gather serial numbers. I t... read more

It was Cheap and made Labels I bought this for the office so I didn't have to keep finding the one other label maker we had. It makes labels as one would expect. It also has some decent features if you need to make a label a certain size, or font and more. The biggest problem is that there is about an inch of blank label/tape at the lead (beginning) that must be cut off after. There are two dashes where to cut it but it's a waste of label/tape and if you are a straight cutter makes for an awkward looking label.

dissapointed the unit make labels just like the more expensive model and has lots of nice features but comes with no ac adapter and you would go broke buying batteries for it.

Extremely Wasteful You waste more then you use with this label marker. It doesn't matter if you change the settings for the margin on the label maker because it will only change one side. It prints dots on the end of a label to show you where to cut. I would NOT buy this labeler again. Plus the end of the tape is all lines so you can't use anywhere from the last foot to foot and a half of the tape. The good things about this labeler is it is very simple to use and there are lots of pictures and settings to play with. So thin... read more

Can't beat the price for this machine! Always wanted one. Finally got it at the right price and the right time. Just used it to label all traced and rewiring in my boat. The laminate tape sample that came with it lasted 3/4 of the way thru the job (I did waste some tape during the testing without reading portion). Silly me for waiting sooo long to buy one. Your turn! And buy some extra tape too...

Get the adapter I purchased this over a year ago in December 2012 and thought it was defective because I kept having to feed it batteries. Finally I set it aside and eventually forgot about it. I just pulled it out recently and went online to read reviews. I have decided I need to get an AC adapter as the battery problem seems widespread and not just my label maker. I found an adapter online through Amazon for less than $15. Staples wanted to charge me almost double that for a Brothers brand. Anyway, I hope it works. The bat... read more

Brother Home and Office Labeler PTD200 I received the Labeler on November 6, 2013, used it twice and the third time just after Christmas break(I work at a University) I went to use it and the batteries were dead. Yes, 6 batteries! Not happy.
