Nice labels, crappy app As others have stated, it wastes a lot of label paper. It cuts off 1/2” each and every time. And there is no way to stop it. Also the computer app is horrible. You have to open and close the app every time or the label will not print correctly. It can remember that it is on auto length between words as you can see in my photos. Also you can see how it automatically cuts off the 1/2” in the printing window on the pc.
Works Wastes a lot of the tape
Does not download drivers to PC as instructed Never got to try the Label Machine. Could not ever download drives and software to get machine ready to work off PC. Tried 3 times. Tried to call brother support, but quess what, nobody to talk to. Had to call a local rep who said he had the same problem downloading software with error codes. I paid extra for this usb PC support and very disappointed that it did not work and no brother technical support to work with. I returned the item.

Whoa... the colors! Lots of promise out of the (somewhat damaged) box. Ready to put a few labels on things. And then, I turned it on. Whoa. The moire rainbow patterns mentioned by others are in full display. I can’t look at it without getting vertigo. Brother, time to buy screens from a different supplier.
A nightmare!! I have owned 6 Brother label printers and with time they became better, more features and easier to use until the one is now being reviewed. The last printer I had to discard, the "on" button was malfunction and it was not worth taking the printer to be repaired: would cost more than a new one. This is my 3rd brother 3rd printer and I am disappointed Being the third printer in 7 years I has expected this unit to be at least as good as the last two. It is not!!!! I don't expect this printer to last 6 months. The plastic case looks and feels fragile. The motor whines as if it is in pain. It prints correctly. I use a PC to make the labels and an AC charger which has worked well in the past. This printer is disappointing use caution when considering the purchase.
Don't buy this label maker We used this label maker less than a dozen times before it got a jam; the window to service it or to return it passed after three months of purchase. We're now stuck with a label maker that doesn't work (less than one year after purchase and minimal usage.
