Did Not Work for My Needs I purchased this label maker for one job - to make folder labels for work. It was not easy to set up or to use. None of the labels looked good on a file folder. The replacement tapes were difficult to get and were expensive. Laying out the labels was difficult on the machine and on the computer software. I ended up returning it and buying an inexpensive laser printer that cost much less and was able to print labels simply and easily with Word. Waste of tapes! This label maker is awesome! but..... why does it keep wasting tapes? I set my cut setting to small margins and it keeps discarding 1" of blank tape. Buy the bootleg version of this tape, don't buy the brother's brand. Save your money!
Oh Brother Worked well but then later I tried it with the Brother Software. I know why they call it "Brother" now. Oh Brother! It didnt print anything after I pressed print!!!
Won't print files from PC legibly and won't print color If you care the tiniest bit how your custom, printed-from-PC labels look, this is a total waste of money. They're ugly and illegible, badly pixilated, and unusable. I tried to print labels with simple brush lettering that I wrote and then digitized, using the proper filetype, etc, and they looked like they were from a dot matrix printer. Quit working after only a few labels. Worked for about 20-25 labels then quit.

Wouldn't buy this again... Nice concept, but still unable to print through my PC. DEFINITELY not user friendly, and tech support is the typical visit to their website, drop down menus. No direct support.
