Used item This doesn’t look new to me. The picture you see is straight out of the box. Super annoying as I don’t have that time to return stuff! Really needed this item and looked forward to receiving it. I am so disappointed right now.
Not worth the extra cost I purchased this model in July for home use because the PT-90 has worked so well for me at work. This unit died on me within 4 months. I thought it was the battery so I used the ac adapter and it still would not turn on. I made sure that the batteries were removed prior to using the adapter. Complete waste. For now I will be bringing my trusty PT-90 from work when I need to label.
screen did not work the labeler was brand new and the color screen did not work. there were diagonal colored lines in the background. this is not what i would expect from this product.
JUNK!!!! Worked great before the display burned out . Very unhappy item is useless now.
A step backward from my previous Brother P-Touch Labeler, more complicated setup, & a cartridge style change This is my second Brother P-Touch Label Maker, and it works in a similar fashion, though it is somewhat more complicated. I can deal with that, but the fact that they changed their cartridge slightly means that I have 5 tape cartridges that I cannot use in this machine. Great Potential Purposely Unrealized This is a nice machine to have; but, it has one horribly annoying, built-in, money-making, customer hating feature that can not be overlooked: It cuts off just over an inch of tape before each label created. So, if the average label is two inches long, then it wastes ~33% of the tape; and, the tape isn't cheap. Excellent hardware but software is very functional but completely unusable with no documentation Revised again! labeler itself is fine but the pc software is beyond incredibly bad to point of being unusable. It's also impossible to save and recall a previous label without losing your mind. There is no documentation for the pc software. I doubt anyone at brother every tried to use or test the pc software. Won't connect to PC I couldn't get the software to install properly. I love the brother label printers. However, I bought this model specifically so I could use the computer to generate labels. The software installs but will not find the attached label printer even though I can clearly see it in device manager (Windows 10, Surface Book).
So I got this, to label around the house ... So I got this, to label around the house and at work. To my dismay it seems that the one I received has a feed issue, as it jams every single time I use it. It appears as though the feed portion of the device is not aligned properly, so it pushes the paper back behind the cartridge and jams up, will contact company and change review based on how that conversation goes
